About Me

I’m Elizabeth Michaud, and I’ve been taking care of dogs for as long as I can remember. Growing up my family always had a dog at home, but in my early adulthood I moved around a lot and never got one of my own. I was living out on the west coast when I realized that I wanted to spend more time with animals.

It was back in New England in 2020– after years of volunteering in animal shelters and working as a pet store rep, a veterinary receptionist, a dog walker, and kennel tech– that I finally started offering dog sitting for people in my community.

My full-time job is astrology. I began my business, Root to Rise Remedies, in September 2016. I see clients virtually and in person, and dog sitting has allowed me the flexibility to bring my work with me wherever I go.
